The ground rules.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or buy, book or join anything from Wilderness of Business, the business of Katie Birkett, The Business Survivalist. By using the site or making a purchase or booking, you agree to them. If you have any questions, email [email protected].

2. Using our website

You can use this website for your own information. Please don't copy, sell or republish our content without permission, or use the site in any way that is unlawful or harmful.

3. Programmes, events and rooms

Places on our programmes, events and rooms are limited, and confirmed once your booking or payment goes through. We'll send you the details you need by email.

Sometimes we may need to change a date, time, venue, format or speaker. If we do, we'll tell you as soon as we can. If we cancel something you've paid for, you can choose a place on another date or a full refund.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Payments are taken securely by Stripe. If you choose to pay in instalments, you agree to pay every instalment shown at checkout, on the dates shown.

5. No refunds

All sales are final. We don't offer refunds on programmes, events, rooms or digital products, including if you can't attend, don't complete a programme or change your mind.

When you buy something that starts straight away, such as a programme or a digital download, you agree that it starts immediately and that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once it has started or been downloaded. This doesn't affect your other legal rights.

6. Digital products

Templates, checklists, guides and other digital products are for your own business only. Please don't share, resell or pass them on.

7. The free CEO Clinic

The CEO Clinic is free. It's recorded, and the recording is shared with people who signed up. By joining, you agree to appear in the recording. See our Privacy Policy for more.

8. Being in the room

Our rooms work because people can talk openly. Please be respectful, keep what other people share confidential, and don't record sessions yourself. We may remove anyone who disrupts a session, without a refund.

9. Our advice

Everything we share is general business education, based on experience. It isn't legal, financial, tax or regulated advice, and we can't promise any particular result. You are responsible for the decisions you make for your business.

10. Our content and methods

Our content, materials and methods, including the GAP Method, the Backpack, the Backpack Check, Business CPR and the Reality Check, belong to Wilderness of Business. You can use what you learn in your own business, but you can't teach, sell or reproduce our materials without written permission.

11. Our responsibility to you

We'll provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for business losses such as lost profit or lost opportunity. Where we are responsible, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the programme, event or product concerned.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

12. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites, such as Instagram. We aren't responsible for their content or how they use your information.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you buy or book is the one that applies to that purchase or booking.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
